This page discusses plotting formulae on Algebra.com. Go to the formula plotting portal for formula, math cartoon and diagram plotting help. You can also see many use examples and live practice with plotting formulas, graphs and cartoons. It is a very powerful system for helping to explain math to children.

Tutors can use TeX in their solutions and lessons, although I have an easier formula plotting system also.

To use tex, say

  *[tex x+y]

[tex tells my system to expect a TeX expression, and ] closes the TeX expression.

I use John Forkosh's mimetex utility to display tex. Consult that webpage for more info.
